Northeast Georgia Health System
Northeast Georgia Health System is a not-for-profit health system dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of the people of Northeast Georgia. The health system offers a full range of healthcare services through two hospital campuses in Gainesville, Georgia, a community located approximately 40 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Together, these facilities, along with two long-term care centers and a mental health and substance abuse treatment center, offer Northeast Georgia residents comprehensive health care close to home. Led by volunteer boards of community leaders, the 461 inpatient and 261 skilled nursing bed health systems serve almost 700,000 people in more than 15 counties across Northeast Georgia. The services offered include bariatric surgery, advanced cancer care, emergency room care, mental health care, advanced cardiac care, cardiac surgery, obstetrics including neonatal intensive care, hospice and long-term care.
